Deputies: Lyons woman backed car into woman, fled scene
VICTOR, N.Y. (WHAM) - Deputies have arrested a Lyons woman after they say she backed into a pedestrian and then fled the scene of the accident.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 20-year-old Amari Linzy-Richardson of Lyons after they say she hit a 55-year-old woman while backing out of a driveway on Saurer Farms Drive in Victor on March 12 around 9 p.m.
Deputies say the woman struck was hospitalized with a broken shoulder and other minor injuries.
Linzy-Richardson and her vehicle were later located at Best Western, located on Route 96 in the Town of Victor, just before 3:30 a.m. on March 13.
Linzy-Richardson was arrested and charged with second degree assault and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
She is being held in the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later time to answer the charges.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
