Early morning outage leaves hundreds without power in Monroe County

CHILI, N.Y. (WHAM) - An early morning outage on Saturday left hundreds without power in Monroe County.

The outage happened around 7 a.m.

According to RG&E, the outage was caused by a circuit issue at a substation.

According to RG&E's website, 1,583 customers were without power in the areas of Chili, Irondequoit, and Penfield at 7:53 a.m.

At 8:23 a.m., the number of customers impacted by the outage dropped to 825.

As of 12:53 p.m., 114 customers are without power, all within the Chili area.

There is no word on when power will be fully restored to customers still affected.
