Canandaigua held its annual Fire and Ice Festival Saturday.

There were plenty of activities to keep people outside, despite the chilly temperatures.

That included a chili and beer competition, ice carving and a meet and greet with Alaskan dogs.

Organizers say this event is not only a good way to promote the City, but also a fun way to promote its local businesses.

Event Coordinator Brittany Lewis said "A lot of the different businesses will have sales going on throughout the day, they have different promotions, they have different menus to get people coming out, not just today, but the whole week leading up to our event. "

This was the third year for the Fire and Ice Festival.
