Four hospitalized after head-on crash in Wolcott
WOLCOTT, N.Y. (WHAM) - Four people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash in the Town of Wolcott.
Multiple crews responded to a two vehicle crash on Ridge Road Saturday evening,
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on July 21.
Deputies say Liborio McCauley of Walworth was traveling eastbound on Ridge Road when he passed a vehicle traveling in the same direction.
McCauley passed the vehicle on a double solid line and hit a vehicle head-on in the westbound lane.
The driver of the vehicle traveling westbound was Johnathan Sutton of Rochester. Sutton's passenger was Francis Alini, also of Rochester.
McCauley and his passenger Edward Leno of Savannah were both transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Leno was transported to the hospital by Mercy Flight.
Sutton was also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injures.
Both Leno and Sutton remain in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital. McCauley remains at Strong Memorial Hospital in satisfactory condition.
Alini was transported by LifeNet to Upstate Medical University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
