Home deemed total loss after fire in Webster

Webster, N.Y. (WHAM) - Multiple fire companies were called in to help fight a house fire in Webster Thursday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the first reports of a fire in a garage on Hills Pond Road came in around 3:20 p.m.

Firefighters from the West Webster Fire Department arrived on scene and were able to put out the flames.

Webster, Brighton and Ridge Culver Fire Departments also helped to fight the fire.

There was some exposure to the neighbor's house, but no one was seriously hurt.

The homeowner was treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene. The home is a total loss, according to fire officials.

The Red Cross is helping at the scene.

Fire officials did not have a cause for the fire.
