Hometown wrestler wins title at Wrestlemania

WWE Smackdown Tag Team champion Luke Harper with "Wheels" of The Wease Show on Radio 95.1 during a recent visit.

Rochester wrestling fans are celebrating after a homegrown talent won a title at this year's Wrestlemania.

Luke Harper and his partner in the team called "The Bludgeon Brothers" won the Smackdown Tag Team Titles Sunday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Harper (who now uses just the last name "Harper") has been with WWE since 2012. He is a Rochester-area native, who wrestled under the name "Brodie Lee" in Rochester and other markets before going to WWE. He still lives in the Rochester area.

The match at Wrestlemania 34 was his biggest to date. WWE estimated the crowd size to be more than 78,000 people.
