House destroyed in overnight Pultneyville fire

Firefighters are investigating a fire that destroyed a vacant house in Pultneyville, Wayne County.

Firefighters say the fire started around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday on Washington Street.

According to the Pultneyville Fire Chief, the fire was fully involved when crews arrived. It took about an hour to knock the fire out.

The Fire Chief says the house is a total loss.

There were no injuries reported.

A portion of the road is shut down while crews investigate. There is no word on when the road will reopen.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Pultneyville, Williamson, East Williamson, and Ontario Fire Departments responded.
