FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WHAM) - Lollypop Farm is reminding pet owners to keep their beloved best friends safe as the area continues to see bitter cold temperatures.

The freezing temperatures can quickly take a toll, especially on dogs.

Dogs are required by law to have adequate shelter.

"They are just as suseptable to things like hypothermia, frostbite, and other illnesses due to the cold weather," Ashley Zeh, who works for Lollypop Farm, said. "Right now, it's just way too cold. The best bet is to bring them inside."

If you believe an animal is being mistreated, you can call Lollypop Farm at 223-6500, or call 911.
