Lt. Gov. Hochul silent on being considered for New York AG job
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - New York's new interim attorney general took the oath of office Wednesday.
Barbara Underwood was sworn in as the state's fill-in attorney general. This comes just two days after Eric Schneiderman resigned his position amid accusations that he physically abused four women.
While making a stop in Rochester, Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul did not address reports that she could be considered as Schneiderman's replacement.
"I am still suffering from shock that someone who masqueraded as a champion for women really led a dual life and subjected women to unspeakable assaults."
Hochul said she is running for Lieutenant Governor and enjoys the job.
