Webster man accused of stealing $17,000 from employer

Webster, N.Y. (WHAM) - Wayne County deputies arrested a Webster man following a larceny investigation of raw materials from Garlock's in Palmyra.

Kenneth Anson, 59, is accused of stealing over $17,000 worth of raw material over the past 2 years while employed there.

According to our news partners at the Times of Wayne County, Anson was allegedly stealing brass scrap and bringing it out of a back door, taking as much as 40-50 pounds at a time. He was eventually caught on surveillance cameras.

After stealing the metal, deputies allege it was taken to Alpco Recycling in Macedon, Metalico on Scottsville Road in Rochester and Weitsman Recycling in Rochester.

He was arraigned in the Town of Palmyra on grand larceny charges and released to appear at a later date.
