Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - The man sought by police in connection with an AMBER Alert investigation earlier this week allegedly recorded the assault of his victim on his cellphone.

Robert Gonzalez, 41, pleaded not guilty in Rochester City Court to criminal sex act in the second degree and use of a child in a sexual performance, both felonies, and sexual abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

Gonzalez had been taken into custody by Rochester Police Thursday. According to court papers, he allegedly recorded the sexual assault on the victim using his cellphone.

Earlier this week, police issued an AMBER Alert after police say Gonzalez abducted a 14-year-old from LaSalle Street over the weekend. They were found Tuesday in Brooklyn.

Gonzalez was arrested by police on a misdemeanor third-degree assault warrant.

The warrant is unrelated to the AMBER Alert investigation, according to Rochester Police.

Gonzalez is scheduled to be back in court at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 11. He was ordered to be held without bail until further notice in the Monroe County Jail.
