Man charged with May 2015 murder in Rochester
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Rochester Police have arrested a Rochester man in connection with a 2015 murder.
Officers said Terrence Lewis, 25, was charged with second-degree murder after an indictment was unsealed Thursday morning in front of Judge Dinolfo in Monroe County Court.
According to the indictment, Lewis shot and killed Johnny Washington on May 26, 2015 while he was on Sixth Street near Bay Street.
Lewis was in federal custody due to a drug conviction. He was brought to Rochester to be arraigned on the murder charge.
Lewis is currently in the Monroe County Jail.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation.
