Man dies from injuries in Genesee County ATV crash
CORFU, N.Y. (WHAM) - Deputies said an East Pembroke man has died from injuries he suffered when he rolled his ATV in Corfu Sunday night.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, the initial call for an accident involving an ATV at 8706 Hartshorn Road came in around 8:15 p.m.
Once on scene, deputies and members of the East Pembroke Fire Department found 51-year-old Robert Boyce and the ATV 200 yards off the roadway.
Boyce was taken to the Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight
Boyoce was traveling east along a National Grid Power Lines, heading towards Hartshorn Road, but apparently failed to negotiate a turn, rolling his ATV.
Deputies said they are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, but alcohol and speed appear to be factors.
