Mother of 7-year-old Sweden boy indicted by grand jury
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Hanane Mouhib, the mother accused of stabbing and decapitating her 7-year-old son last week, has been indicted by a grand jury.
Mouhib was indicted on at least one felony count by the Monroe County grand jury.
A scheduled preliminary hearing for 12 p.m. Wednesday has been cancelled.
On April 5, Mouhib allegedly stabbed her son Abraham in the back, then decapitated him in their home in Sweden.
Three other people were inside the home at the time: Mouhib's husband, the husband's mother, and Abraham's ten-year-old brother. All of the family members have been moved to another undisclosed location.
Mouhib was admitted to Rochester General Hospital on March 8 for a mental health evaluation. She remained there until March 26 when she was discharged.
A date has not yet been set for her next court appearance.
Calling hours for Abraham are scheduled for Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Fowler Funeral Home in Brockport. A funeral service is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
