Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in Friday night crash
Rochester, N.Y. - A motorcyclist from East Rochester died after suffering from serious injuries in a crash Friday evening in Rochester.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. in the area of East Avenue and Culver Road.
Rochester Police say the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on East Avenue. At that time, an SUV was reportedly traveling eastbound, and turned north onto Culver. It was at that point, police say, the motorcycle and SUV collided.
The motorcyclist, later identified as 47-year-old Matthew Sheldon, was taken to the hospital with, "significant injuries," according to police.
He later died at the hospital.
There were two people inside the SUV. Neither of them were hurt.
