Netflix confirms car series 'Hyperdrive' filming in Rochester
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A car racing series being filmed at an Eastman Business Park property in Rochester has a name: Hyperdrive.
Netflix confirmed Tuesday that the series has been filming ten episodes at the industrial site. Most of the filming took place during overnight hours, from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.
In a news release about Hyperdrive, the TV show is described as "a high-stakes tournament series where daring drivers from across the globe compete for the glory on one of the largest automotive obstacle courses ever constructed."
Tuesday marked the final day of production in Rochester for the series. It was shooting for two weeks in the area.
Some neighbors were frustrated about the loud noises in their backyards, complaining that they had not been given adequate notice about the series.
Whalerock Industries and Denver & Delilah Productions were behind the production.
Aaron Catling is serving as the showrunner; Lloyd Braun, Chris Cowan, Charlize Theron, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix are executive producers.
The series is scheduled to launch some time next year.
