New pizzeria aims to fill void in city neighborhoods
Rochester, N.Y. - A new chain of pizzerias is hoping to give some parts of Rochester a new experience.
Salvatore's Pizza has launched a spin-off business called Speedy Slice.
The first location opened on Webster Avenue in the city this week.
It's meant to provide food in five minutes or less using fresh ingredients in neighborhoods that have limited options.
"Instead of just talking about getting a job, we providing ways for folks to actually be creators of jobs," said George Moses, operator of the Webster Avenue Speedy Slice. "And with the Speedy Slice concept, it's quick, convenient and a clean store so people have quality food."
The company hopes to have more than 20 locations in the Rochester area.
