Police: Crash on Parsells Avenue, one DWI arrest

Police say two vehicles, both heading West bound, were involved in the crash.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) - One person was arrested after a crash on Parsells Avenue on Sunday.

The crash occurred early in the morning on July 8.

Police say two vehicles, both heading west bound, were involved in the crash.

One of the vehicles rear ended the vehicle in front of it as an attempt to pass the second vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle that rear ended the second vehicle then lost control and struck a tree.

Witnesses tell police the driver of the vehicle that struck the tree was traveling at a high speed.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the tree was a 22-year-old Rochester man.

He was arrested for DWI.

Both drivers were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
