Police investigating reported abduction attempt in Geneva

    Geneva, N.Y. – Police in the City of Geneva are asking the public to be vigilant after a reported abduction attempt Monday afternoon.

    Police say a 13-year-old was walking home from school when a black Toyota Sienna was spotted in the area of Oak, High and Pulteney Streets and Carter Road. The vehicle reportedly parked behind the youth on Pulteney Street, and a man got out and grabbed the child’s hand.

    The teen was able to get away and ran to safety.

    Police say the man in the minivan is described as six feet fall, wearing a black hoodie and orange cloth work gloves. The minivan is described as having a large scratch or white mark on its front end.
