BACKGROUND:Man shot inside home on Rialto Street overnight
Investigators determined Marquell Miller, 25, was carrying a rifle on the second floor of the home when he accidentally pulled the trigger and shot the floor. The bullet ended up striking Hurell, who was walking on the first floor, in the head.
Police said the men were acquaintances and Hurell was visiting the home when the shooting took place.
Miller turned himself into authorities Monday afternoon and has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, according to police. He's set to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
