Rochester, N.Y. - It's been 10 years since the City of Rochester adopted the lead paint abatement law, which is one of the strictest in the country.

Over 141,000 units have been inspected for lead paint hazards in the past decade.

As a result, Rochester has seen an 80% reduction rate in the number of reports of lead poisoning in children.

This lead law has since become a national model.

The anniversary was celebrated by the unveiling of the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning website.
