Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Five new inductees will join the Rochester Music Hall of Fame for its 2018 class.

The inductees were announced Thursday morning during a news conference.

The list includes John Beck from the Eastman School of Music, the Campbell Brothers, composer Ferdinand Jay Smith, bassist Tony Levin, and drummer Steve Gadd.

Hall of Fame board members took the time to celebrate the success of the inductees and their dedication to music in Rochester.

'They were born here and some of them have gone on to do great things nationally and internationally, but they keep coming back here," said Jack Whittier, VP of the Rochester Music Hall of Fame.

The 2018 Rochester Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for April 22 at Kodak Hall in the Eastman Theatre.
