Rochester, NY (WHAM) - The Rochester Police Department says it located what appears to be a human body in the backyard of a Dayton Street home, while conducting an investigation to locate a missing person.

Police say Moran Wilson, 33, has been missing under suspicious circumstances since Friday.

Police found the body Saturday night, while executing a search warrant at the house, according to police.

The body has not been identified.

"We are now conducting a painstaking process to recover that body and continue a thorough search for evidence," said Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli. "It's a process that will take many hours."

Police say as a result of this investigation so far, three people have been taken into custody on unrelated charges.

"I'm concerned about it because you never know what could happen two doors down," said neighbor David Silva. "It gives you the strength to look forward to take care of your family."

At this time, RPD has no reason to believe that members of the community are in any danger.

Police say this remains a very active investigation.

Rochester police had been looking for a Mazda CX9 in connection with the case. Monday night, officers released a statement saying the vehicle had been located, and that their investigation was ongoing.
