Roofer injured after falling from ATV at Chili school
Chili, N.Y. (WHAM) - A roofing contractor who was on an ATV was injured after falling from a school roof in Chili Tuesday morning.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were called to St. Pius X School on Chili Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
Deputies said a 41-year-old man was repairing the roof at the school and using a small ATV to transport roofing materials to the roof. The throttle on the ATV became stuck and the man fell off the roof, dropping approximately 10-12 feet.
According to deputies, the man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be checked for possible broken ribs and internal injuries.
The man is expected to recover.
