SODUS, N.Y. (WHAM) - The search for a missing 14-month-old boy in Sodus will continue on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m.

Nearly 200 people searched for 14-month-old Owen Hidalgo-Calderon on Monday.

Tuesday will mark the 13th day of the investigation into Owen's disappearance.

In a briefing with the media Tuesday, Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts said investigators have evidence leading them to believe Owen is still on the farm where his mother was found dead, but he wouldn’t say what the evidence was.

He also said investigators have received 47 calls related to the AMBER Alert, since it was issued for Owen on Friday morning.

"Its my hope that Owen is alive, but we have to run two parallel investigations," said Virts, when asked why the search effort has been referred to as a recovery. "It's my hope that he’s alive but we also need to know that he’s a 14-month-old toddler; to sustain life by himself would be very difficult."

Wayne County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help to find Owen after his mother,18-year-old Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, was found dead in a wooded area in Sodus Wednesday morning. Her body was found near her home on Joy Road, hidden underneath dirt and branches.

The K-9 unit was used along Joy Road in the Saturday morning search to find Owen.

State police also called in a helicopter to get a better view while searching the farm in Sodus on Saturday.

Around 1 p.m. Saturday, the helicopter finished searching.

When asked by reporters if they found anything, state police shook their heads.

During interviews with various individuals, including Selena's boyfriend Alberto Reyes, investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said they learned Reyes had tossed a phone on the highway while riding in a vehicle south to Attica. Deputies searched an area of highway where Reyes was believed to have tossed the phone and recovered a phone.

Investigators are now working to obtain a search warrant to analyze the phone and search for potential evidence. Virts said he does not know if the phone belongs to Reyes.

Reyes was arrested on Thursday in Livingston County in connection to Selena's death; he is charged with tampering with physical evidence and is currently incarcerated.

Despite the AMBER Alert being issued, Virts said there is no evidence that this is an abduction.

Owen is approximately two feet tall and weighs about 30 lbs. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. The boy is known to need asthma medication.

Virts said Reyes told deputies he removed her body from their home and buried her in the woods, but did not admit to killing her. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m.
