Hamlin, N.Y. (WHAM) - Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter said a deputy has been suspended with pay pending the investigation into an incident in Clarkson.

Deputies said they were called to a home on Redman Road on Wednesday, November 28 around 5:30 a.m. for an incident involving an off-duty deputy that occurred early Wednesday morning in Clarkson.

The investigation is ongoing, and deputies say there have been no arrests.

The deputy's name has not been released, nor have further details been made available.

"We are really trying to determine who was the primary aggressor and if there needs to be an arrest made," Sheriff Baxter said Monday. "At this time we haven’t been able to determine that. We’re just taking our time. We want to make sure we’re doing the investigation right, particularly because it occurred with a sheriff’s deputy."

The Sheriff's Office is coordinating with the Monroe County District Attorney's Office on the matter.
