Silk O'Loughlin's reopens after months of rebuilding following flooding
Irondequoit, N.Y. - After a summer of frustration, a local restaurant is back in business.
For the past few weeks, the folks at Silk O'Loughlin's worked to rebuild after flooding throughout the summer forced the restaurant to close.
Without being able to open, owner Michael McKeon took advantage of the chance to completely remodel the place and he had plenty of help.
"People came out of the woodwork to help," said McKeon. "People I don't even know. Community support, support from businesses. It's been incredible."
McKeon is now hoping the area gets a long stretch of warmer weather. His place, though, is open year round.
