Spencerport, N.Y. (WHAM) - Six people were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital Thursday morning after a Brockport school bus collided with a minivan.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the scene of the crash around 8:45 a.m. at West Ridge Road and Gallup Road.

Deputies are unsure at this point what led up to the crash.

Two special needs students were on board the bus, along with a monitor and the bus driver. The students were leaving the BOCES Creekside School in Fairport at the time.

The driver and passenger in the van were injured, as well. All injuries to all six people were minor, according to deputies.

West Ridge Road at Gallup Road remains closed in both directions until further notice.

The driver of the minivan was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
