Rochester is among the top cities in the U.S that people are moving away from, according to a new study.

The report finds that between 2010 and 2017, there was a nealy 16,000 population decrease due to migration.

This puts Rochester at number 16 on the list of cities declining in population.

Syracuse came in at 13, and the Chicago area topped the list.

Each year, about 40 million Americans move at least once.

Experts say much of the reason is from the growing trend of moving to warmer climates.
