Man arrested after erratic driving complaint, rollover in Caledonia
Avon/Caledonia, N.Y. - A young man from Leroy is believed to have been under the influence of drugs when he allegedly almost ran a car off the road, then took off on foot when his own car rolled over in a field.
Hunter Passage, 18, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
On Tuesday, November 6th, Livingston County Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of Route 5 in Avon to check on a vehicle that was driving erratically.
A caller said the driver nearly ran their car off the road.
Deputies said the suspect vehicle was found on Route 5 in Caledonia, where it rolled over in a field after leaving the roadway.
Passage was treated at the scene, where deputies believe he was under the influence of drugs.
He was charged after deputies performed sobriety tests in the field, and a drug evaluation at the sheriff's headquarters.
