Two men indicted for robbing, beating man in Brighton
Rochester/Brighton, N.Y. (WHAM) - Two of three men accused of beating and robbing a man in Brighton last month were indicted by a Monroe County grand jury on Friday.
Prosecutors said Damon Morse, 49, and Nakia Jefferson, 38, were indicted on two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of second-degree assault each.
No indictment has been handed down for Gregory Rand, 51, who was also charged in the alleged robbery and assault.
On August 15, the victim said he was assaulted and robbed of his belongings while walking around 2:30 a.m. along Monroe Avenue near Glen Ellyn Way.
Brighton officers got a description of the suspects from the victim and found three people in front of the Elmwood Avenue and Winton Road intersection a short time later. All three of the suspects matched the description given by the victim.
