Three shootings in Rochester Thursday; two people killed

    Rochester, N.Y. – Rochester Police are investigating three separate shootings that killed two people and injured three others in a four-hour span on Thursday.

    The first of the shootings happened on Wilkins Street near Hudson Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

    Police say two men were shot. One of the two men died at the hospital within hours; police announced around 4 a.m. Friday that the second victim died from their injuries.

    Those men were identified as 24-year-old Markwaun Williams and 26-year-old Justin Siler.

    In a separate incident, police say a teenager was shot in the lower body just before 8 p.m. in the area of Weeger and Thomas Streets.

    Police say the 17-year-old victim is expected to survive.

    Just after 8 p.m., police say there was another double-shooting at the intersection of Genesee and Hawley Streets.

    Police say 20-year-old Gregory Williams and 22-year-old Jaquan Fields were shot. One of them was transported to a hospital via ambulance, another by private vehicle.

    Williams in in guarded condition; Fields was treated and released.

    No suspects are in custody for any of the three shootings.
