United Way CEO, President Fran Weisberg stepping down
Rochester, N.Y. - Fran Weisberg, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Rochester, has announced she's stepping down at the end of the year.
Weisberg took the reins as the organization's first female president in May of 2015. She previously served as executive director of the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency.
"I am tremendously honored to have had the opportunity to lead this incredible organization for more than two years," Weisberg said in a statement Thursday. "This decision was not an easy one. While my tenure at United Way has allowed me to do what I am truly passionate about—bringing people together to help our community thrive—I must make a change to devote more time to my family."
In July, the United Way Board of Directors will begin the process of searching for a new leader.
Weisberg's last day with United Way will be December 31, 2017
