Warming shelters set up in Wayne County; travel advisories lifted

    Lyons, N.Y. (WHAM) - Wayne County Sheriffs have officially lifted the unnecessary travel ban for Walworth and Ontario in Wayne County on Thursday morning.

    Three warming shelters are open in Wayne County for people without power who need a place to stay.

    Ontario Fire Station | 6160 Walter Cone Drive, Ontario

    Walworth Fire Department | 2178 Church Street, Walworth

    Macedon Center Fire Department | 2481 Canandaigua Road, Macedon

    Cross Creek Church | 3259 Canandaigua Road, Gananda

    Bottled water is available for citizens at the Walworth Fire Station on Church Street in Walworth.

    Wayne County Emergency Management is working with the American Red Cross to set up overnight shelters as needed. They are also working with local medical home oxygen suppliers and dialysis centers in the county.
