Woman accused of stabbing boyfriend to death tries to give talk at Livonia School District
The Livingston County woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death tried to give a talk to students at the Livonia Central School District.
A local Alcoholics Anonymous group confirms Danielle Allen went to talk to students about the impact of substance abuse. However the district asked her to leave once she was recognized, and she did not end up giving the talk.
Allen is charged with manslaughter after she allegedly stabbed Marcus Postell with a kitchen knife in 2016. Court documents revealed she had a BAC of nearly three times the legal limit at the time.
The case is awaiting trial.
The AA group who went to the talk with Allen says they have made policy changes because of the incident. The group says they did not consider her pending case at the time, and only considered the progress she has made.
AA says it has talked to the school about the changes they are going to make.
Livingston County District Attorney Greg McCaffery did not comment on the incident.
