Rochester, N.Y. – A Rochester woman has been charged with arson in connection with a porch fire last September.

Senna Smith is charged with arson in the second degree. Investigators allege she intentionally started a fire at a home on Merriman Street amid an ongoing domestic situation.

The fire was spotted by federal probation officers who were driving by the home at the time. The officers called 911 while warning the home’s residents of the fire.

Firefighters said the rear porch of the home was heavily engulfed, but they were able to prevent it from spreading. No one was hurt.
