Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A woman arrested in Perinton was indicted by a grand jury Monday for allegations that she sold cocaine and fentanyl to a man who fatally overdosed on the drug.
The Monroe County Heroin Task Force charged Melinda Hamelinck, 38, with second-degree manslaughter, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Hamelinck is accused of selling the combination of the two drugs to a 31-year-old man. The man then fatally overdosed on the drugs.
Hamelinck had previously been indicted and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Hamelinck is scheduled to be arraigned on August 27 at 9:30 a.m.
