Henrietta, N.Y. - Officials with RIT said they are investigating a possible mumps case at the campus.

13WHAM was told Wednesday evening that there is no confirmation that this is, in fact, a case of the contagious illness, but students are being told to take proper precautions.

Another local college campus, SUNY Geneseo, has seen 14 cases of mumps on campus this semester.

RIT officials said that students are heading into finals, and many of them have already gone home for the semester.

13WHAM will provide updates on this story as they become available.
