Trump brags about his popularity in Upstate New York

Donald Trump won the South Carolina primary Saturday night, then discussed his chances against Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head presidential matchup Sunday morning.

(WHAM) After his victory in the South Carolina primary Saturday, Donald Trump expressed his confidence in beating Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup.

On CNN's State of the Union, Trump bragged about his popularity in Upstate New York.

"I will have a chance of winning New York. If I win New York, the election's over from an electoral college standpoint," said Trump.

"(In) Upstate New York, I'm like the most popular person that's ever lived, virtually. Upstate New York. They're great friends of mine."

Trump went on to say he expects to win states that, in his words, "Republicans don't even think of."

He predicted that he will face Clinton in the general election and that they will bring out a massive amount of voters.
