Brian Gionta received yet another honor on Sunday when he was inducted into the Frontier Field walk of fame.

But most of his honors have been related to hockey, and his more than 1,000 career NHL games, nearly 600 NHL points and Stanley Cup Championship can attest to that.

But is NHL hockey in Gionta's future? At least as a player?

The 39-year-old is currently without a team after finishing last year on the Boston Bruins, and acknowledged Sunday that although he's keeping his options open, his playing days might be over.

Gionta said he's looking forward to focusing on his family, after they have spent years focusing on him and his extremely successful NHL career.
