Kelvin Benjamin inactive for Bills Thursday night

The Bills acquired star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin in a trade with the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday, but his debut with his new team will have to wait.

Benjamin was declared inactive shortly before game time Thursday night, along with six of his Bills teammates, which included cornerback E.J. Gaines for the second straight week (hamstring) and a surprising Brandon Tate.

The good news, however, is that both safety Jordan Poyer and linebacker Ramon Humber are set to return. Humber has been out since Buffalo's week 4 win in Atlanta, while Poyer missed last week's win over Oakland.

The Bills are visiting the Jets, and playing in primetime on Thursday night. The game can be seen on NFL Network in the Rochester area.
