AP Report: Former player Aaron Boone picked as next Yankees manager
New York, N.Y. - Former MLB player Aaron Boone has reportedly been picked as the next New York Yankees manager, according to an Associated Press source.
No official announcement has been made yet by the team.
Boone would be the 35th Yankees manager.
The 44-year-old played 12 MLB seasons with six teams, last suiting up with the Houston Astros in 2009.
This would be Boone's first managerial job. He has been an ESPN broadcaster since 2010.
