Rattlers Fall to Atlanta Blaze in Overtime

    The Rochester Rattlers dropped a tough battle with the Atlanta Blaze 14-13 in OT at Capelli Sport Stadium in Rochester. With the loss, the Rattlers move to 4 and 5 on the 2017 season.

    The Rattlers were down two goals in the first quarter, 4 - 2 before closing the gap to a one goal lead for the Blaze at halftime, 6 - 5.

    Atlanta would go on to score four goals to Rochester’s two goals in the third quarter before the Rattlers finally woke up in the 4th quarter. Rochester scored six goals in the 4th including two by Ryan McNamara (Marquette). Zed Williams scored his third of the day to tie the game at 12 all. Thirty seconds later, Jordan Wolf scored to give the Rattlers the lead.

    Jordan Wolf’s goal gives the Rattlers a 13 to 12 lead late in the 4th quarter.

    With the loss to the Atlanta Blaze, Rochester hits the road against the Chesapeake Bayhawks next Sunday, July 2nd before they return home to Capelli Sport Stadium on Sunday, July 16th against the Boston Cannons. The Rattlers beat the Cannons on May 13th, 13 to 10.
