Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Monday, the Rochester Red Wings finally got to play ball!

On their fourth try, Rochester's baseball team opened its 2018 season at Frontier Field against the Syracuse Chiefs.

The game was slated to begin at 6:35 p.m. but was moved up about an hour.

Opening Day was scheduled for Friday, April 6, but the game had to be postponed due to weather - specifically snow. The next two days' games against the Buffalo Bisons were also postponed for weather-related reasons.

The three games postponed Friday-Sunday against the Buffalo Bisons will be played in May and August. Those games are set for May 25 & 27 and August 28 at 5:05 p.m.

Fans who may still have a ticket to Friday’s Opening Day game can exchange them for two games. One of those must be used in April or May (50 degree guarantee) and the other for any remaining home date in 2018.

Tickets to Saturday and Sunday may be exchanged for any remaining home date this season.

All exchanges are required to be made in person at the Ticket Office.
