The Red Wings were playing the Bats on Monday night, but this one was for the Birds.
And the Naked Mole Rats.
Rochester hammered Louisville on Monday night 13-6 in their first game at home since the All Star break.
Monday was also Naked Mole Rat night at Frontier Field. The first 1,000 fans in attendance received a special naked mole rat hat to commemorate the arrival of the animal to the Seneca Park Zoo.
Taylor Motter led off the Wings half of the first with a home run, and Rochester later got a grand slam from Andy Wilkins, who was making his AAA debut.
With the win, Rochester improved to 44-46, and will host the Bats on Tuesday for an early start time of 11:05 am.
