    Syracuse football is officially back.

The Orange topped West Virginia 34-18 in the Camping World Bowl on Friday, earning their first bowl victory since 2013, and first ten win season since 2001.

This marks just the seventh time in program history Syracuse has topped double digit wins.

The win also capped off an incredible journey for this group of seniors. Many of them were recruited by former head coach Scott Shafer, but along with Dino Babers helped Syracuse rise from the ashes of football irrelevance.

That goes double for quarterback Eric Dungey, whose roller coaster of a career ends with a bowl victory, a ten win season, and statistics that put him at or near the top of the Syracuse record books.
