Abby Fridmann

Abby Fridmann joined the Good Day Rochester team in May 2023 but is no stranger to the area!

Abby graduated from SUNY Brockport with her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and media production. She also earned a master’s in broadcast and digital journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

She started in the broadcast business as a morning news anchor and reporter for WVNY- TV/WFFF-TV in Burlington, Vermont. In 2020, Abby moved back to her hometown of Buffalo, where she anchored WIVB-TV’s weekend morning show. Eventually, she was promoted to a full-time anchor for the weekday morning show, “Wake Up!”

When she’s not at work, Abby loves spending time outdoors, traveling and watching horror movies. She and her husband rescued a whippet/hound named Jay and a black cat named Dexter.
